Sundry Goods for the Joy of Living

Welcome to The Lake Martin Cooperative, where we bring the spirit of Lake Martin to life. Located in the historic Jim's Bait Shop on Highway 50, our store is a haven for those who appreciate the easeful, warm, and nostalgic charm of lakeside living.
The Story
At The Lake Martin Cooperative, you'll find everything you need for your best lake life. As you pull in, you're greeted by a freshly updated exterior with stylish signage, working gas pumps, and easy parking. Step inside, and you'll discover a market brimming with fresh herbs, flowers, healthy lunches, and premium meats from our butcher shop. Whether you're stocking up on wine, cheese, or gourmet spices, we've got you covered.
As you explore further, the bright and open space welcomes you with its cozy, inviting atmosphere. Whitewashed wood, vintage rugs, and natural decor create a bohemian resort vibe, reminiscent of dreamy lake houses. Our selection includes linen clothing, organic bedding, Turkish towels, and unique gift items, all thoughtfully chosen to support local artisans and enhance your Lake Martin experience. The store also houses furniture selections and accessories from our sister company lifeSTYLED Inspired Interiors, your local source for creating cozy, comfortable, and stylish spaces at Lake Martin.

Benefits of Partnership
Multiple Businesses, One Destination
Think about the synergy of many businesses in one location - a customer may come in because they know we have a particular item. Once they are in-store their eyes are opened to your business and find things they cannot live without. Customers will know there is always something new to see and experience at the Co-op.
Online
Social media will be play a key role in our promotion, with an emphasis on Instagram. Posts will include featured products in the store, reminders of store hours and offerings, announcing and promoting store events, and an abundance of lifestyle photography inspiring followers with beautiful images that exemplify what life feels like at Lake Martin. Following and supporting other local businesses, artists, vendors, and community events will also help to grow our account and overall visibility, and our reputation. Other tools: website, Facebook Page, email marketing.
Print Media
We will advertise in local print magazines Lake Martin Living and LAKE Magazine and expect regular features for our social events as well as food, wine, home, and lifestyle products.
Word of Mouth
Community word of mouth is essential for us. We expect people to recommend our products and services to friends at the lake and bring family and friends along to our events as well.

Billboards
The Lake Martin area has an abundance of billboard advertising space available and we plan to purchase spots on several boards to get the word out about where we are and what we offer. We expect this to bring in quite a bit of our traffic.
Events
Events at the Co-op will bring in new and returning customers, and will include experiences like wine tastings, yoga, live music, art classes, art shows, design classes, plant workshops, and social gatherings and lifestyle events.
Rental Homes and Other Partnerships
Through 360 Destinations, we’ll promote the business with postcards, email mentions, and offers like “come in for a free koozie”. We’ll explore partnerships with other local businesses as well.
